Whisky has been made at the Dufftown distillery since 1896, and The Singleton of Dufftown continues the tradition of using a slower fermentation and a careful, crafted approach. The Singleton of Dufftown bottle is based on the traditional hipflask shape, using glass similar to the blue flint glass used at the end of the 19th century. With the heritage of The Singleton to the fore, the town of Dufftown is now known as 'the whisky capital of the world'.
The Singleton of Dufftown is a classic expression of the subtle, balanced fruit flavours of Speyside, Close to the River Dullan, it is nestled among high, eroded peaks and valleys. Crystal clear water is the basis for this malt and the combined liquid is then aged carefully in American and European oak barrels.
How to Enjoy
Add a touch of water to bring out the classic subtly sweet, fruity notes of the 12 Year Old. Or for an unusual but delicious flavour match, pair with a creamy, tasty dessert such as crème brûlée. The honeycomb, sweet chestnut and sharp red berry fruit flavours of the 15 Year Old, make it an ideal sipping malt. With an intense sweet toffee, vanilla and stewed autumn fruit flavours, the 18 Year Old is delicious in a tumbler glass, on its own or with ice.
